Sage being Sage.

It seems like lately every time I look at Sage, she is changing. I am so proud as she is growing into this lovely little lady, but I savor every moment of her "little girliness".
One of her favorite things to do right now is "pretend cook", so we brought
her PBK little kitchen into the studio to capture this stage of her life.
She was cooking up something delish for us to "taste" & it was quite scrumptious!
I have a huge addiction for the clothes she is wearing- so girly, twirly, & textury.
If you love them, too, you need to mark your calendars for October 3
when I will be hosting a Matilda Jane trunk show.
It will be a day full of fun and you are welcome to bring your little girls to try things on &
have their complimentary picture taken.

Underwater. Some Above. Contest.

My oldest son, Sullivan, saved up and bought a really nice digital camera before the summer started and we had been really wanting to try some underwater portraits, but the underwater housing for the camera is almost as much as the camera, so we hesitated.
Well, we changed our mind the first day of vacation and got on the internet and ordered & rush delivered the underwater housing to our vacation destination.
We had the most fun taking these. We took video and pictures from the time we got it until we left. Needless to say, we had so many to go through so we could pick favorites and these are the ones we picked.
The kids all have one of themselves on their wall in a 24x36 size and they are amazing and they get to fall to sleep thinking about all the good memories we made on our family vacation. I am trying to convince my husband now that if we build a pool this fall/winter, I could start offering underwater portraits in the spring/summer. We will see what happens!

Introducing baby Micah.
He was in yesterday for his newborn session and as sweet as can be. He slept and slept and let us get lots of fun poses. Newborns curl up and sleep so good especially when they come in under a week old. Hint, Hint.. if you are thinking about newborn shots- call me as soon as your little one arrives and we will get you in the studio during the first week.
It is a relaxing time for mom (dad does have to work a bit, but not too much).
We have lite hor dourves & take as many breaks as we need.
All of my newborn clients are so glad they have these done- this tiny little newborn phase goes by so fast.

On a side note, I can't believe that my kids go back to school this week! Where has the summer gone? We have been incredibly busy and I have slacked on blogging.
I am vowing to do better. I have had so many people ask when I am going to post our underwater photos-

Fabulous Family of 6

This fabulous family of 6 was in last week and we had a blast! These 4 little ones were extremely well behaved and were a true pleasure to work with! Their mom and dad
(Charlie & Melissa) are some of the best parents I have met.
I know these pictures are already priceless to them as childhood goes so quickly and their children are only going to be this little for a short time. Capturing little dimpled hands, toothless grins, baby faces is so important because before you know it, they are grown.

All the way from Arkansas!!

Bella & her wonderful mom came all the way from Arkansas for her photo shoot!
Laurie- it was wonderful meeting you and Bella. I instantly fell in love with this little princess! She is more than full of personality and said the cutest little 3 yr. old phrases. Since she came from so far we had a HUGE photo shoot and I think she changed outfits 6 or 7 times without complaining- ok, so maybe we bribed her with Dora snacks!!
She found a special place in my heart as she is adopted from Guatemala just like our little Sage!
Laurie- thank you for bringing Bella~ I know you will be more than happy with all the shots we got- the camera loved her :-)

Bobbi came in for her modeling portfolio and brought along her mom & gramma to do a 3 generation shot. We got a GORGEOUS one of all 3 of them, but I am saving that for their private gallery. Bobbi is 3 and one of my all time favorites. She loves to change clothes, she does just what we tell her, making my job super easy. I just love her!!
She is full of personality, making it hard to pick just a couple to show on the blog.

The studio will be closed from June 21 through July 5.
We are taking a much needed break and heading out on vacation.
I will be back blogging on July 7-

Isn't she just beautiful?? Her mommy & daddy are going to be fighting the boys
off when she grows up. Campbell was so excited when we let her suck her thumb
in one shot- she thought that was cool that we wanted a picture of that- and look how cute that shot is!

This week I have had some inquiries and bookings for Christmas (yes, Christmas) sessions.
I have officially opened up the calendar for the remainder of the year.
I will be shooting sessions until November 14 and then taking off the entire month of December, so please plan early for your Christmas sessions so you don't miss out on an opening.

Cutest Little Brothers....

These guys have the cutest hair & amazing blue eyes! So cute!
We were wanting some fun pictures after doing posed shots and
they quickly got into a game of leap frog and we got some priceless action shots.
It was all going great until Jacob (the one jumping over Noah) decided to do a flip over
his brother. Needless to say that was the last shot we got and Jacob got a nice
cold ice pack for his head. After a few minutes he was back to normal.
Good thing their session was over- he forgot all about it when he saw
all the goodies in the treasure basket!

The freshness of a newborn...

I know, I know.. I have been so slack in posting new blogs, but I got to spend a few hours with this little newborn and knew while I was in the middle of this session that I would be blogging tonight about him.
He smelled sooo good and had the cutest little features. I can 't wait to watch him grow! He was such a little trooper and let me try out some new props, like the wrap in the bottom picture- I had gotten that wrap awhile ago and had it on loan to a photographer in NJ, so John Daniel was the perfect little one to try it out on. It was fun meeting and spending time with you - Daniel, Sarah & Linda.

Putting things in perspective...

I know I don't often do 2 family posts back to back, but my heart is so full of family and wanting to capture every memory as we are making them, that I couldn't resist posting some more family memories. Even though these were just taken, they are already memories and I know I will cherish these pictures forever.
This past week I had a conversation with a friend from Washington about how thankful we are for our boys & our little girl & I woke up the next morning to learn of the tragedy that happened to the Steven Curtis Chapman family. They are such an advocate of adoption & since we are an adoptive family, it really hit home with me that we just never know when something is going to happen in and instant and change our life for eternity.
My love & prayers go to their family.

Today was such a beautiful, cloudless day and it could not have been any more perfect. The boys rode dirt bikes around the house and I tried my hardest to get some action shots of them, but they are just too fast! I did manage a couple and they are posted above of Sawyer & Sutton.
Sage insisted on helping her daddy wash the truck and had to put on her tutu bathing suit.
If you are looking for a bathing suit for your little princess.. you must get this one by Kate Mack. Oh my goodness... it is scrumptious!
Sage is obsessed with picking every flower she sees and there is just something about her little hands holding flowers that melts my heart. She found a couple of dandelions and I told her to get ready to blow and she put her other hand behind her back with a couple of flowers and I thought it was just perfect!

She lost her first tooth...

I had the most spectacular Mother's Day just being treated like royalty by the boys & Sage. Every once in awhile I would just look around and fight tears- tears of thankfulness. My heart is just so full of love for these healthy, loving, mischievous, forgiving, hilarious kids! I am beyond thankful to God for the gifts he has given me through family- it made me warm inside and just feel blessed beyond belief to spend the day with them all.
The handmade gifts, potted flowers, poems, hand holding & kisses, little snuggles, twirling dances-
thank you Sullivan, Sawyer, Sutton & Sage for the fabulous Mother's Day. The memories will forever stay with me.

Sage lost her first tooth and I cried! I don't exactly know why, maybe it is saying goodbye to her baby & toddler years and a step towards her growing up- I don't know, it just was sad.
However, she is simply charming with her new tooth already growing in and I had to include that today in my post. Last night Tim took the boys to a movie and Sage and I had (as she calls it) "girl time" and spent the afternoon/evening picking flowers & Sidewalk chalking our driveway. I, of course, had to get pictures so I could share with everyone how much fun I had with Sage.

A tiny princess..

There is nothing like a fresh little newborn.. especially one that smiles(check out that smile in the first picture!)! What a princess Lauren is and such a fabulous family. With four big brothers, Lauren is loved beyond belief and she will be so protected by them. C.B., Jordan, John Nick, & Jake - you guys were all incredible and I just have to say that Jordan- you impressed me during "the accident" - all the other guys took off running while you stood there holding your sister! (Jordan was the one holding the football with Lauren on it.) I think Lauren will have a special place in her heart for you after that!

Thank you to the entire family (including you, Helen) for your patience- I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to watch little Lauren grow!

Meet my new little friend Austin...

His Papa was there and that is all this little guy needed to break out in the giggles and you can see his precious personality in the second picture above..

O is for Olivia - so sweet!

Olivia was the sweetest baby and soooo strong for a 4 month old. She is beautiful and let us change clothes & hats and just kept on smiling! Thank you to Wes & Karen for bringing her in and for jumping right in to get her to look at the camera- I think we made every noise possible- whatever it takes for "that look". :-)

It was wonderful to meet you both and I look forward to watching Olivia grow!

What a fun family!

I had a family of 10 come in last week and we had a great time doing shots on the Villa set before we took it down. This session was super easy and Tricia & Deja *pictured above* were naturals in front of the camera and definitely have a future in modeling! Thanks, girls, for helping with the blocks, butterly, & bubbles, too! (you know what I am talking about)

Everyone was great - Tasha - hope everything goes well with the new baby- call me when she is born! :)

Oh! and little Tyree *also pictured above* was beyond gorgeous and a true little princess.

A few highlights from the Limited Sessions

Can't post them all, but here are some highlights from the Cobblestone Villa sessions!

I got to spend some time with these little ones this week and we had so much fun. This set was a huge hit with the kids and I think the parents liked it just as much.
Seems like it enchanted the kids and they had no problem posing for me.
The girls all felt like Princesses & the boys just had fun checking the set out.
Thank you parents for bringing in your children- I can truly say that they are all charming and
I LOVED spending time with each and everyone one of you!

Fun filled Saturday!

Look at this 100 year old family heirloom that she is being Christened in!
Wow - it is breathtaking!

Today was a busy day and had a couple of fun sessions. Two brand new clients who I absolutely loved getting to know and look forward to watching their little ones grow.
It was wonderful to meet you all and you have beautiful children & grandchildren- how fun to be able to meet grandparents, too. I really put the grandparents to work today - a special, special thank you to Rick & Carla(Nana & Papa to the little boys) & Anne(grandmother to the little flower) - I could not have gotten the shots I did without you.

We also had the opportunity to shoot our models for our upcoming Limited Edition sessions - which are going to be spectacular!
Thank you to the moms who were so willing to bring their children and go through all the wardrobe changes! I can't wait to post the "Cobblestone Villa" sessions.. the models had so much fun with the new set and you can tell from their smiles.(coming soon)

Happy Birthday, Lola!!

One of the most amazing parts of my work, is watching children grow. It seems like just yesterday Lola was in for her newborn portraits, it has been a real treat to watch her grow into such a fun little toddler. She is mobile and toddles around and speaks this little jibberish that is hilarious to listen to. She kept saying, "See me?, See me?" and I kept saying, "yes, Lola, I see you!!" So, here are a few of her fun 1 year session.. Lola, now everyone sees you! I know that will make her so happy!
Enjoy Lola's pictures.. I tried hard to limit it to just one, but was unsuccessful. I am saving the polka dot cake ones for her gallery, though!

It's almost here!!

Wheeeeeeew! I have finally finished my last session of the year and it has been a whirlwind this season! I must say that I do have the best clients & they spoil me so much! One of my clients walked in with a Large Cherry Coke (my all time favorite) from Sonic this week and I about cried. (It's the little things that matter, right?) Needless to say, it was a wonderful session. Thank you to everyone for the gifts - it means so much to me.
One dad even brought in a special gift for Sage - wow! amazing! She treasures that gift like it is a precious jewel!

I tried to pull a few pictures to share of some of the sessions.. I wish I could show them all but I am taking some time off so I have got to get back to my family & back to making some wonderful memories.
Take time to hug those who are special to you and slow down and enjoy eachother during this
beautiful Christmas Holiday!

Oh, to be this age again!

I hope that each of you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! Our family has enjoyed the "time off" together and we are definitely getting into the Christmas spirit around here!
Sage & her best friend got to get all dressed up and go to the Disney Princesses on Ice today and we all had such a great time. My friend Carrie & I had the greatest time spending time w/ our little girls - it is heartwarming to see the smiles on their faces & the wonder in their eyes. They definitely left there feeling like princesses!

Wow! Yesterday was a wonderful day.. I got to see 2 of my favorite little newborn clients who are growing like weeds! These kids mesmerize me!
Lexi & Lola are pictured above and I can't help but smile when I look at their portrait!
We had so much fun last night.. Mark & Sheri are phenomenal parents & Mark, I am sorry you had to see Sheri & I making fools of ourselves trying to get Lola to look our way & sorry I had to put you to work!

Hannah is pictured below and was sooo tiny when she first came in. Now she is ALL GIRL- jumping, skipping, singing, dancing, & as charming as ever. She is only 2 and told me that a Kangaroo is a Marsupial! (I didn't even know that)
Daniel & Summer won the last contest and I had them take a shot so you could see their new stockings...

I have had MANY request to see more of this session. So, with special permission from her mom, here is some more of little Selah! I know.. she is gorgeous - and super sweet!

One of the many benefits of being a photographer is meeting wonderful people and this family was no exception.. they were wonderful and tons of fun. I am tempted to put more of their session on here, but I have to give them something to look forward to.
Bob & Tracy it was a pleasure meeting you and working with your family- your girls are amazingly well behaved & well mannered - what wonderful parents you are.

Isn't my new little buddy "Sierra" so adorable? She has grown up so much from just a few months ago when she was in. She loved the camera and zipped right through her session like a pro. She told me everything she wants for her 3rd birthday coming up and even sang me her "ABC's". I had to feature you on my blog tonight, Sierra! You made my day.

Ok next are some of my boys... this is what I get when I ask nicely for them to let me get "just one good picture". I love being the mom of 3 boys & 1 princess - wouldn't trade it for anything!
I think I need to hire a photographer to take my kids picture so they turn out better.. ha!

Blast from the Past

Here are a couple of shots from this session.. I am keeping the best ones hidden so they

These siblings were great to work with and I had a bit of reality check to as I used to babysit Winston & Savannah when they were babies. I haven't seen them in many years and could not believe how much they have grown up. It was fun to share stories with them - for example.. one day I walked in and Winston(2) was holding a huge container of Baby Powder over Savannah's(1) head and just pouring it out over her. All I could see was her big eyes.. she thought it was great fun!
It was great to see you all... Winston, Savannah, Scarlett & Sophie.

Seth & Selah.. I had so much fun with you 2 in the studio. You are such great kids & I seriously canot wait until you come back again! Tabitha, you are an amazing mom. These 2 did every different pose without complaint and were so good at the kind of smile I was looking for. We got it down to where all I would say is 1(no smile) 2(little smile) or 3(laughing smile) and they would do it perfectly!
You both make me fall in love with my job all over again!

I am down to my last 2 openings for the Holidays- I can't believe how fast these months are flying by! Wow! My family is gearing up for Thanksgiving, we are trying to savor every moment that is leading up to it. Thanksgiving is such a great time to put everything into perspective and reflect on how we are so blessed and thankful!

Spooktacular sessions!!

The spooktacular mini sessions have come and gone and they were wonderful! These were our first mini sessions and we will definitely be doing them again. There is nothing cuter than little ones in their costumes- I am pretty sure some of them truly believed that they became whatever costume they wore. Thank you to everyone who came and participated - it was a great success!
I had to throw in a couple of shots from one of the sessions. This little 3 year old is Bobbi and she was unbelievable! She just turned 3 and I KNOW that she is way smarter than me! She chose Minnie Mouse as her costume and is the cutest Minnie Mouse I have ever seen.. what do you think? She loved the camera so much that she asked to take a picture of her mom (last photo shown). She looked through the little viewer and snapped the button and the results are above.. not too bad! Of course, her mom is beautiful! Bobbi, do you want to come work for me? :)

Hooray! I am posting more than one time this week!

These two little sisters came in for both of their birthday portraits.. one for her 1 year and one for her newborn. We had so much fun and you talk about a charmer. Abbey charmed me from the moment her family came in. Look at those eyes (pictured above with the hat & birthday cake) She absolutely LOVED her birthday cake and actually had her face dug into the cake getting "bite bites". Her newborn sister Savannah was as sweet and as pink as ever. Alot of fun... can't wait to see these girls again.

On a mission to take more pictures!

Life has been all but calm around here and each day is passing before I know it! I apologize for not posting as much.. I have got to do better. Sometimes it just seems like there are not enough minutes in the day. We have finally gotten into the school routine and are all still getting adjusted to a job transition for Tim. We love his new job and our church Biltmore Baptist ( www.biltmorebaptist.org ). They have been so kind and welcoming and we love the people there! So good!

I was taking an order from a client yesterday and she was having a hard time narrowing down her order and she made the statement, "You must take pictures of your kids all day long, don't you?" *gulp* I had a HUGE sadness come over me thinking about how slack I am on getting my own children's pictures. So ( on a mission to do better) as soon as Sage got home from school I threw her a pettiskirt and I grabbed the camera and a chair and we headed out back for a shoot! It was so much fun and I am now feeling better about myself! *smile* Now, I need to get each of the boys done, which will be more of a challenge. Keep checking back to see if I follow through on my mission. Until then, here are a few from our shoot yesterday - isn't she growing up??

Cute little girls!

I am so behind on posting sneak previews.. I am so sorry for those that I have missed. I had some really fun sessions Saturday and today with 2 different families with girls! Peighton & Drew (first picture shown above) came Saturday and we got some really sweet sister shots and their mom dressed them beautifully. I am on a hunt for the dresses they are wearing for Sage. Chris & Sarah - you have a gorgeous family and well behaved little girls - it was great to meet you all! I can't wait to do your Christmas portraits.

Next came little *Louci* this morning and she was an angel for sure! Look at those blue eyes - my only complaint was that they had to leave.. I am pretty sure I could have just snapped shots of her all day long. Carrie.. it was a pleasure meeting you and your sweet angel. I know you will LOVE your gallery when it is ready.

Can she be old enough?

I guess she is old enough to go to Kindergarten, but it sure was hard watching her walk down the sidewalk to the Jeep for daddy to take her to school! She and her brothers started school today and it is strangely quiet at home. I will miss the chattering, giggling, pitter patter of footsteps, singing, pool splashes, etc, etc. but I am sure it will all return as they get home from school.
Moms & Dads - embrace those little ones - before you know it, they will be headed out the door to school and a new chapter will begin!

What a wonderful shoot today with two amazing children! So easy to work with and alot of fun, too! When they first got here they told me they reeeally wanted to do some jumping shots and that they had been practicing what jumping shot they would do - so had to include their jumping shots in their preview! These are 2 kids I cannot wait until they come back for more. Great job Will & Claire! I can't wait for you to see your entire gallery (tell your dad not to be too upset) :)

Beautiful faces of Harlem..

We are back from a week in NYC and it was an amazing week! These are some of the faces that we met in Harlem. We spent every day with a team of 53 in the projects and streets of Harlem. I fell in love with these children as they all had a different story - some very happy and some extremely heartbreaking. I wanted to bring them all home! I can't help tear up as I post these pictures as I can vividly remember each one and the imprint that they left on my heart. There are hundreds of pictures that I need to go through, but these are just a few I pulled out to post for now. The last image is Pearl- she is 89 years old and sharp as a tack and as sweet as she can be. She had the biggest smile just sitting back on a bench watching the children play and knitting doll dresses.
God was so good to us while we were there.. we had perfect weather and ran into no difficulties. It was amazing to see 337 people give their heart to God! **To everyone on the team: Don't ever forget those little faces!**

Congratulations, Caleb & Emily! They are officially married and it was *by far* the most gorgeous wedding I have ever been to. Summer Silhouettes

Just a quick family entry... Sawyer & Sutton have been practicing their archery every spare minute this summer. Tonight they were shooting off of the back deck and I had to run to grab the camera to catch their silhouettes as they shot their bow & arrows. Of course, I am prejudiced but I just LOVED how they turned out and these images are already priceless to me! I hope everyone is taking time to enjoy their summers with their families and that everyone is making some priceless memories like our family has been doing these last few weeks. Life is precious. Sage got to spend the day with her best friend Campbell today and she was beside herself with excitement. They had tea parties & played "house" , strolled their baby dolls and told lots of secrets... all the normal things for 2 best friends to do.
Sage models for Loto Blu Couture (www.LotoBluCouture.com) and Sage & Campbell put on their matching Loto Blu and had some fun in the studio. Was great to get with you, too, Carrie and catch up and just have a lazy summer day chatting about everything!

Hannah is just the sweetest baby and I just LOVE her! She has been here quite a few times and is really a pro when it comes to getting her picture taken. I cannot believe how she can already talk in full sentences and how well behaved she is. She will be 2 in July... Happy Birthday, Hannah!!
Our summer has been very busy already and looks like it is going to be even busier in the weeks to come, but we are enjoying the nice weather and the breezy summer nights! Summer nights are MY favorites, especially right now while all the fireflies are everywhere. Hope everyone is taking time to enjoy their summers!

It seems like yesterday I was taking Esther's newborn portraits and she & her big sister Abbi came in today for Esther's 9 month portraits. I can't believe how big she has gotten and I just fell in love with her spunky personality. She has got to have the greatest full face smile. She is already so "girly" and even brought her own tea set to play with.. you can see by the last photo that she really loves to eat the spoons! Her mom really knows how to dress her girls and they have the greatest matching sets. I had a great time catching up today, Kelli!

Scrumptious!!

I love this portrait of Grayson being held by his wonderful grandparents!!

...Scrumptious is the first word that comes to mind when I think of this baby! He is 5 weeks old and I predict he will walk at 9 months. He has the strongest legs I have ever seen for a month old baby. He was quite the trooper when it came to his very first photo shoot - I heard one little cry out of him and that was just to tell us he was a little hungry. Tara, you are a wonderful mommy and you have EXCELLENT taste in textures & blankets & baby accessories *I will shop at your baby boutique when you open one* (just a little hint). Tom & Sandy, it was my pleasure to meet you both and you were wonderful with Grayson! Sandy, you can come be my assistant anytime! :) I will be by to visit your Boutique very soon!

Making Memories..

Today was a perfect Saturday.. lots of sun and fun with my family. Sullivan had a couple of friends over and we spent some time in the studio making memories for them. I had a hard time getting a shot of them when they weren't dying laughing! I love these girls like they were my own daughters, they are sweet and fun and just great to be around! I hope you come back and visit soon. I really wanted to put the "pet" pictures and the "Abercrombie models" pictures, but will just have to settle for the bunny ears :) You are both beautiful girls inside & out and I love you!

Today was a busy day, but my favorite part of the day was when I got to do my nieces engagement session. I cannot believe that she is old enough to get married, but she is and is so incredibly in love with her fiance, Caleb! We went everywhere for their "Urban Photo Session" and just had the greatest time (at least I did) :) Enjoy this extended sneak peek!

Happy Mother's Day to all Mother's! I hope that your day was as wonderful as mine was! I added a photo of our day at the top of this blog.. we got to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy the beauty of our mountains - which we take for granted way too often. It was one of the greatest days of my life spending time with my best friend(husband) and children without any interruption. *sigh* If every day could be like this :)

Snakes & Lizards & a Brand New Baby

Here are some recent shot I promised my boys I would post from our trip to Florida - they were on a lizard, snake, & salamander hunt. We are going to print these big for their bedroom walls... I would hate to to go to sleep thinking of snakes & lizards, but they think it is the coolest thing ever!

Now to something SWEET - look at this angel! She is baby "H" and only 8 days old. She went through her first photo shoot with no problems and slept just when we wanted her to! I had a great time getting caught up with her mom and look forward to watching "H" grow up!

Little Diva

Just look at this little diva! This is Hannah and she is just beautiful and has the greatest personality. We had fun in her shoot, she tried every pose she could think of & looked adorable in all of them.

Here are a few family shots, too! Sullivan (13) left on Easter for his first Missions trip to Gulfport, Mississippi & we already miss him. I got him in the studio for a quick picture with me before he left.. so I could think of him while he is gone! Sawyer (11) took this picture.. great job, Sawyer!

We got to travel to Georgia last week and mixed business with pleasure! Sage got to swim in the hotel pool and boy! does she ever love to swim. We can't wait for warmer weather here!

M & M came in today for their session and their session was pure perfection.

They were so well behaved & just a joy to work with.

Little M said the cutest little things - I am just sorry I couldn't understand them all. Her mom had to do a little translation -- "Cheese burger" not "Cheese bubble" :)

Big M was the perfect gentelman and such a great big brother- couldn't ask for an easier photo shoot! Hope these images get you through until your proofs are ready!

I started my week with a session of 4 children under 6 years of age and it went so smoothly. They were wonderful to work with and we ended up with some incredible shots! Watching these children together reminds me of how fast time goes and how soon they will be grown. Sage & In Bloom Boutique

I have had many asking me why I don't post many photos of my own children.. so I thought I would post some recent ones of Sage. We did a shoot for In Bloom Boutique today - they are located in California and Sage is doing some modeling for them. She had a blast just being herself in the studio. She thinks all mommies have studios and doing photo shoots is just what little girls do! Please don't tell her any differently :) She is turning 5 in just a few days and as I look into her eyes, I see the eyes of a child and not my little baby anymore. It is bittersweet.. missing those baby days and looking forward to her childhood. She is now telling everyone that she wants to be a photographer when she grows up and mimics everything (good & bad) that I do. The most cherished times of my day are when I see her dancing in her dress up dresses, having tea with her dolls, and singing her favorite song at the top of her lungs.. just normal girly things! See why I don't post photographs of my children much.. I can't do it without writing alot! However, now that I have written and posted about her, I have 3 boys that are each going to want their space on here.. so be looking for that to come.

Brown Eyed Princess

This brown eyed princess was in with her family last night for a family session. What a beautiful family - a special thank you to Becky & Matt for being my assistants (blowing bubbles, wearing halos, & even using a princess wand). You were all wonderful and Becky, have a safe trip back to college. It was a pleasure meeting you all.

I still have some openings in April & May, alot of spaces filled up with the waive of the sitting fee that was the special last week. Isn't he a cutie.... this is baby Kade at his 3 month session. He has the sweetest face & great hair! It was just great to spend some time with his mom Katy (she is a fabulous mom!).

Cousins

This post is especially for Victoria! I got to photograph V and her sister and 3 cousins last week and keep promising I will get some pictures up for her to see. I am behind in editing proofs, but Victoria yours will be on soon. We had so much fun in the studio with these 5 - we did the famous jumping pictures and you can see their favorite jumps(or handstands, cartwheels) above.

I have had the most wonderful sessions lately and wanted to post these from a session today. These sisters were a true joy to photography and just alot of fun.

Baby sister is only 2 weeks today and barely made a peep and definitely wasn't sleepy today, but that is ok because she has huge gorgeous eyes that are super photogenic.

Down at the Barn

This little cutie I had not seen in a year and wow! had she changed! It was great to see her again and we had a great shoot. She is a wonderful little girl to work with (every photographer's dream) We got to go down to the barn for half of the time and got some great shots. All of the sudden it is the end of November and I realized I had not taken my children's photo for our Christmas card. So, over the Thanksgiving Holiday I got them in the studio with their winter hats and shot a few. I fell in love with the photo on my home page of all of them together and will have this LARGE over my fireplace, very soon. So, those of you who are still headed into the studio, you will see this again. I also did individuals of each of them for wall portraits in our home. I had to post them because I am partial to their sweet faces.

Eyes, Eyes, & More Gorgeous Eyes

These children are blessed beyond belief with the most amazing eyes. Not only are they beautiful on the outside, but they were the most fun to photograph. "C", "C" and "C" captured my attention with their dancing, stories, and their charm. Little girl "C" danced until her heart content in her tutu and her big brother told me story after story about his stuffed animal friends and he had the best time jumping for the camera. Little brother "C" was mesmerized by anything with wheels, so as long as he was sitting in one of my "wheeled props" he was quite happy. Thank you for the perfect shoot!
